Who Will Protect America?

My God, O my God, who is the protector of America? Who today will protect America? Human beings? Political leaders? I don’t know who can save America today.

This country is called the United States. Those who experienced difficulties and danger in their own countries came together here. This nation accepted people from all countries: China, Russia, Germany, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Arab countries, the African countries, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Korea, Vietnam, France, England, Italy, Spain, Yemen, Afghanistan, Morocco, Algeria, Niger, Mexico, Japan, South America, Spain, Turkey, Jordan, Greece. People from every nation of the world got off at the station called the United Sates when there was danger in their own lands.

Everyone who comes here has the right to live, the right to freedom, the right to vote, the right to have money, the right to their own political beliefs, the right to work, the right to be wealthy, and the right to citizenship. People have many rights in the United States. Even so, some are more eager to help their ancestral countries when those countries are in danger. From here, some are trying to protect Free China. From here some work to help Germany. Some Japanese here work to protect Japan. Each experiences America’s freedoms, yet each protects the land of his forefathers each thinks only about his ancestral country and his heritage. Here there are many religions: Hindus, Zoroastrians, Christians, Muslims and Jews. While all live in this country and call this country their land, some will come forward only to defend their ancestral countries. Yet this nation is called the ‘United’ States.

If we think about it today, who is going to protect America? There are so few left today who would protect her. The names America and American, and the deed of the United States, that deed which accepts everyone, the deed to peace and tranquility, have existed for over 200 years. Even on our money, it is printed ‘In God We Trust’. On money we say we trust in God, but that trust does not really exist in the minds or the hearts of all the people. God exists in the laws, but God does not exist in their hearts. There is a façade of unity, but unity does not exist in their hearts. There are explanations of justice on the outside, but the people do not have justice in their hearts. The name United States exists on the outside, but many people do not have a bond to the United States in their hearts.

This is the present condition of the American nation. This is the way many here are acting today. They do not protect the country which accepted them when danger threatened; they do not accept the country which accepted them; they do not safeguard the dignity or the honor of this country. They have only doubt and suspicion. Everyone who has come to this country and everyone who was born in the country must reflect.

There are people who do not protect the dignity and freedom of this country, who nevertheless feel they have to protect their ancestral countries. This is a wonder, is it not? They can safeguard their own races, religions, and scriptures, but they cannot safeguard America.

There is no greater wonder in America, there is no wonder comparable to this anywhere in any nation. If you set fire to the nation in which you live, to the nation which gives you food, that nation will no longer be able to shelter you or feed you. It is a wonder. This act of man is a wonder. Is it appropriate to justice or to wisdom? Does it correspond with peace? Shall we cry about this country, or shall we laugh? Shall we pray to God, or shall we reflect with our wisdom? And if we do reflect, whom can we tell about it? There are few in America to tell, there are few in America who will listen, there are few in America who will think about it, so to whom shall we speak? This is the problem in my wisdom and my heart: What shall we do?

I thought, at least let’s try to get through to the newspapers, let’s find out if the newspaper will listen. That was one of my thoughts. There are many newspapers in this country so I thought, let’s ask them and see what they can do. Will anyone come forward to help this country? Will the country attain peace? Will the people become unified? This is my concern. Please, for the world and for this nation, for each heart, if you can give us some kind of comfort, it will be good for peace.

If the news media can help to protect the nation, it will be good.

When the world looks at the United States now, it sees a ‘night station’. Satan is pressing forward to try to make it satan’s kingdom. God is trying to rule God’s kingdom from within. The political people are trying to rule their kingdom. Selfishness is attempting to capture a kingdom. Religions are trying to rule, and every race is trying to rule. There are many who want to take over the country, but there are so few to take care of it. There are few to protect this nation, its honor, or truth. Many people are preoccupied with the lands of their forefathers. This is a wonder, indeed. People who are living here are taking care of other places. It is not just.

Some people do say they would go to fight, but then they say we shouldn’t gather an army. Some people say we should be forceful, but we do not have enough men to man the weapons. They would have us fight without soldiers, fly planes without pilots, operate tanks without drivers, and shoot without hands. There are people to talk, but there is no one to act. And in addition to all this, the armed forces and the government do not keep their plans secret. This isn’t the ‘United States’, it’s a ‘night station’. What a wonder!

O God, my God, You are the United State, You are the Light Nation, Your kingdom is the Light State. Please come to this land and transform the hearts of the people. Make them aware; open their hearts and make them light; open their hearts and make them believe in You. T he American people must sincerely endeavor to protect this nation and to establish truth. Please come to help them, O God. Amen

O God, You are a Power without shape or form.

You alone must come. If someone who has form comes, everything will be destroyed. It is because You have no form that You alone must come here to take care of this nation. If You do not come, the nation cannot be saved. There are many who will defend the country of their forefathers while everything here is being ruined. You must come to defend what is here, O God. Your justice, Your truth, Your qualities, and Your light must come here and watch over this country. My god, please come and let everything end well. Amen.

There is a concept of unity here in America, the concept of the melting pot. Gold, silver, and all kinds of other metals can be put into a melting pot to blend into one. But no matter how much is done for them, the hearts of those who live in the melting pot of American have not melted, they have not become one. No peace has been established. So many exist separately in the pot. Most exist alone, solitary and selfish. In the history of America, this is a great wonder. This is the greatest wonder of all the wonders in the world. They say there are seven wonders in the world, but this is the greatest wonder of all: the people in the melting pot don’t melt.

I first came to this country from Sri Lanka approximately ten years ago. My name is M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, and I have partaken of the water of this country. Though I don’t eat very much, sometimes I might take a bit of fruit that is given to me. Therefore, I have partaken of the water and some of the food of America, and it has become part of my body, my blood vessels, and my nerves. I am grateful for that, and I am grateful for having a place to stay. I am very grateful for the children here. All this has combined with my body, my heart, and my life and I have love for this country.
