A Child’s Birthday Blessing from M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Bawa: Compared to last year, you have less faith in God and less wisdom. You now come here to play, not to learn wisdom. By: M. R. There's an instrument within you that knows what time you're accustomed to eating and makes you aware of it, because you've formed a habit. A Hadith: Qutb Muhaiyaddeen and The Catching Chain Qutb Muhaiyaddeen, in the ripeness of age, came and sat in the mosque of shari’at in time for the early morning prayer, fajr. The one who functioned as imam for that mosque in those times came to the mosque and led the people in prayer. Although the Qutb was in the mosque, he did not join in the prayer during that waqt. The imam noted this and went away. At the midday prayer, zuhr, the imam came again to the mosque and led the prayer, but the Qutb did not pray then either. A World of Examples God says, "The many different things I created in the world are shown to you as examples. Use your wisdom to learn from them, and climb up. Look at this lotus I created. It grows up from the mud and lives in the water, but it doesn't keep any of the dirt or water on its petals. Acquiring the Qualities of God How can we adapt and be flexible in the world? Sometimes my mind sets up certain rules of conduct, but the situation and wisdom seem to indicate that some other conduct would be more appropriate. By: M. R. They taught about the creation, this world, and the hereafter (awwal, dunya, and akhirah). Some people accepted these teaching and some did not. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen destruction - "The 38th Sign of Destruction" The thirty-eighth sign is that there will be a very big war, bigger than any air or land battle. It will be an atomic war. Destruction will occur through fire and water. By: M. R. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen destruction - "The 39th Sign of Destruction" While the world is in this state, Jesus (A.S.) might come again. That will be the thirty-ninth sign. He will appear either in Mecca, at the Ka’bah, or in Jerusalem, at the Dome of the Rock (al-Baitul-Muqaddas). By: M. R. Determination and Patience Overcome Sleep In a question and answer session, May 29, 1986, Bawa discusses fighting sleep or drowsiness: Dhikr "You may find it difficult to control your mind and fix it on the desired point of focus. Therefore, you will succeed in performing this dhikr correctly only if you can learn to concentrate all your forces with care, faith, and certitude onto this one point. By: M. R. I find myself plagued by doubts in myself, and I do not know how to deal with them. I have doubts about my wisdom and my capacity to make decisions. Selflessly, He gives His grace to all, keeping nothing for Himself. Going Within “My children, you are in the center of the lotus flower of my heart which is in full bloom. By: M. R. There was a house with a piece of property next to it, and on the property were fifteen or twenty small wells or springs which were like holes in the ground. Hurtful in My Youth I can see that at times I was very hurtful in the way I acted toward my parents when I was young....I want to ask God to forgive me for what I have done, but there is also another part of me that is saying I want them to know I am sorry for the pain I caused them. If a Man Comes to Realize Himself and to Know the Truth QUESTION: Which precepts of the second station did Allah’s Rasul demonstrate by putting them into practice? ANSWER: In the same way that Allahu ta’ala Nayan, with compassionate love and without any discrimination, provides nourishment to all of His created beings, regardless of whether they are good or evil, Allah’s Rasul.... Intoxications QUESTIONER: We are people who have been released from one kind of intoxicant. I have been sober for thirty-three years, but we still have trouble with these other intoxications. It's Not a Test, It's an Opportunity God brings clarity to us in many different ways. One person may receive lessons through his children, another through his wife, another through his job. In a variety of ways God offers us lessons. So, each time we come face to face with a problem or a difficulty, we need to accept that it has been given to lift us up to a higher step. Keeping God in Our Hearts Q: How can we always keep our heart center open and stay in the presence of God? By: M. R. His medical work is performed with love, with compassion and affection. Because He understands the hearts of His people and the clarity in each heart, He provides treatment for the sickness of the soul, of the body, the eyes, for all the diseases in our intentions and thoughts, He heals all this with His love and His compassion.
